Well, here we are day one of blogging. "They say" that if you are trying to tone up, get inshape, lose weight..ect.. the more successfull ones are those that blog their successes and fall backs. So my goal is to increase my successes in toning up...... Hope this helps...
Here is a little about me. I am a stay at home mom of 2 awesome kids (almost 5 yrs and 2 yrs). I am in mid thirties and still holding on to most of my preggo weight. I am weighing in at 194 and would prefer to be 175. I am 5'9" so that is definatly do-able.
I excercise 3Xweek at "strollerfit". The problem is I LOVE to eat and always seem hungry. I have PCOS, so hormones are all out of wack, which does not help me reach this goal.
So day One: watching friends kids today (total of 4 kids) no real excersice, raked back yard and cleaned house. breakfast consisted a bowl of LIFE cereal (not best choice), Lunch was califlower, greenbean casserole, and a few small baked chicken pieces, little snack of pringles.... dinner will be a tuna casserole.
I know a long way to go and need to make better choices.
Tomorrow will be better.
I am exactly like you...I don't mind putting in the effort to exercise but I tend to throw it all away when it comes to food. I find myself binging whenever I restrict my food which might also be an issue for you. Try to include some healthy snacks throughout the day to help get you through to the bigger meals. When you deny your body of calories it makes it hold on to the fat you already have. I am really pushing fruit these days because a lot of it is pre-portioned. Cuties and bananas are my favorite because they are totally grab-and-go. You know I love nuts and string cheese too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy blogging and let me know if you feel better/worse about having to share both the good and bad.
Hey! I'm just like you when it comes to eating - I eat ...all...the...time. I go out to dinner, get a huge meal + app + dessert, go home and pig out with a huge carton of ice cream (even though I had some on my date) and will put a lean cuisine in the microwave after the ice cream's finished! When I work, (nannying or doing Thicker Than Water work) I can't be constantly eating, it takes so much time out of my day and makes me so much slower! I've found these amazing Slim Fast Bars - the snack bars, peanut butter crunch flavor. I usually eat one in between breakfast/lunch & lunch/dinner & sometimes for desert. They're really packed with calories/protein. Protein is super important when it comes to keeping me from eating the world. I try to eat a lot of nuts, beans & other protein packed snacks. (if I get into string cheese, I can eat half an economy size pack for a 'snack')
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to not eat around kids! particularly the little guys - they eat every 1-2 hours!! Which gets us making/wanting food every 1-2 hours... I always gain weight when I start a full-day nannying position, especially if it's with 1-2 kids because you so much more independence to just reach over and grab a snack!
Welcome to the blogging world! i look forward to following your success! maybe it will inspire me, too!!!
